Take a look! - the Tree Planting Event and the Discovery Day!
Such a fun and interesting citizen science Discovery Day at the Tiny Forest on Saturday 12 July in Paignton Park. We measured trees, weather, soil moisture and type.
There is an Earthwatch website where any of us can contribute to measurements, including butterfly and insect counting. The website has great guides, eg, butterfly species, to help with the citizen science surveys. Definitely worth a look and having a go!

The Tiny Forest was planted in Paignton Park, in partnership with Earthwatch, Haringey Council, Blackrock, VCRA, and the support of the local community in March 2025. There was a great turnout for the community planting session with more than 50 people throughout the day.
