Safer Neighbourhood
Met Engage
Via the police Met Engage portal, there is contact information about the local Seven Sisters Safer Neighbourhood Team: who the officers are, reporting tool (use their Contact Us tab) as well as upcoming events and meetings, eg Drop-in Surgeries, Street Briefings, Crime Prevention Advice.
You can also login to get updates by email; you can also see this information via the Met Engage Portal by looking at 'Message Inbox', which shows information such as 'Paignton Park Encampment Cleared', 'Intelligence-Led Action Leads to Cannabis Seizure', 'Seven Sisters Ward - Parcel Theft Awareness'.
Met Police Ward Panel
Chair: Zack Evans. Secretary: Marcus Haas
The last ward panel meeting was held on Wednesday 27 May, where the top three policing priorities were set.
Policing is very much data-driven: the police officers emphasised the importance of reporting: you can do this via Met Engage. Reported crime appears on the local crime map and drives the police focus. So, for example, if there is no anti-social behaviour reported, the police don't see the problem - "it didn't happen" as our police sergeant told us at the meeting.
The next Policing Ward Panel will be held on Wednesday 9 September 6:30pm.
Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) and the Police Ward Panel
The Safer Neighbourhoods Team (SNT) is a group of Met police officers dedicated to serving our community. The team is made up of officers based in our area (or 'ward'), supported by additional officers from the wider area. They work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide the policing priorities for the area at the Ward Panel Meeting.
